*We highly recommend using a laptop or desktop computer to fill out our digital application (Google Chrome is best) FILL OUT APPLICATION IN ITS ENTIRETY*
Incomplete applications may result in Ascend not receiving it. When you successfully complete an application, you’ll automatically receive an email stating that the application has been submitted.
If you do not have access to a computer, please contact us with another preferred method 1-530- 739-1177 or [email protected]). We’re happy to send you a paper copy, email a pdf, etc. If you have a printer you can download and print a pdf version on this page (below). We also have printed applications outside our Weaverville office location available for pick up and drop off anytime (420 Main St. Weaverville-underneath Kay’s Book Nook via Forest Ave).
Ascend will reach out to you within a few days of receiving your application. If you do not hear from us within two business days, something may be amiss and please contact us as soon as possible.

**To sign as both a Parent/Guardian and as a Participant in the Youth App, right click the signature field and click “change signature” to create two different signatures, one for Parent/Guardian and one for Participant. Insert appropriate signature into the specified field**
Youth Trips
Join the Adventure – 2025 Youth Trip Registration
We’re thrilled to support your journey into the great outdoors! This form serves as the first step in our registration process and places you on Ascend’s youth trip waitlist.
Due to funding uncertainties this year, all youth trips are currently “funding pending.” If funding is secured, we will reach out to selected participants from this waitlist to complete the final registration process through a more detailed application.

Teen Internships
2025 Teen Internship Opportunities – Apply Now!
We’re excited to offer a range of teen internship opportunities for those eager to gain hands-on experience in the outdoors. The 7-Day Teen Stewardship Trip is fully funded and guaranteed to run, while the Teen Field Science Trip and Teen Wilderness Career Pathway programs are currently “funding dependent.”
We strongly encourage all interested teens to apply! If funding is secured for the dependent programs, we will reach out to selected applicants to complete the final registration process.

Adult Trips
2025 Adult Stewardship Trip Registration
Join us for an unforgettable outdoor stewardship experience! All of our adult stewardship trips are completely free, with the exception of the Adult Botany Trip, which is a for-fee program.
The Adult Botany Trip offers a unique opportunity to learn from a variety of professionals who will join the group each day to teach botany-related subjects in a wilderness setting.
No matter which trip(s) you choose, you’ll be part of meaningful conservation efforts while exploring incredible landscapes. Apply today and be part of the adventure!

We prefer you to fill our digital application. (So much easier for us!) However, if you need to fill it in by hand we are happy to accommodate. Read the directions below to ensure you submit it properly.
Please print the PDF for your age group (either Youth or Adult) and complete the entire packet including all informational fields and signatures. Packets include critical information that will ensure your safety on your Ascend Wilderness Experience, please take the time to fill out your application fully. Incomplete packets will not be considered!
You can also pick up printed applications 24/7 in our document holder outside our office door.
