In an effort to expand programs to benefit more youth in Trinity County, Ascend is offering five days of day camp for elementary aged students during the week of Trinity County School’s spring break. Each day, campers will be formed into age-appropriate groups to participate in activities, including but not limited to, short day hikes, camp cooking classes, nature based arts and crafts, outdoor skills, as well as interactive guided walks to learn about local natural resources.
As always, this program will be offered for free to participants. Campers will be chaperoned by Ascend Camp Counselors who are trained in Wilderness First Aid, CPR, games and fun team building exercises as well as teenage Junior Counselors who will be gaining work experience and mentoring with Ascend.
2024 Spring Break Day Camp • April 1 – 5
- Ascend’s 2024 Spring Break Day Camp will take place from April 1-5, 2024.
- Camp is for youth ages 5-14.
- Participants have the flexibility to sign up for individual days or the entire week if they choose.
- Camp will be located at East Weaver Campground, East Weaver Creek Rd, Weaverville, CA 96093.
- Drop-off campers between 8:30 – 9:00am daily.
- Pick-up campers between 2:00 – 4:00pm daily.
- Late pick ups after 4:00pm will incur a fee of $1 per minute.
- Complete all sections of the application. Leaving sections blank may delay or disqualify your child’s participation.
- Space is limited, sign up early to ensure your child’s participation.
- Applications will not be accepted after March 25th, 2024.
