Outdoor Education Programs

***Spring Break Day Camp will be held on the years Ascend is able to fundraise for it.***

In an effort to expand programs to benefit more youth in Trinity County, Ascend is offering five days of day camp for elementary-aged students during the week of Trinity County School's spring break. Each day, campers will be formed into age-appropriate groups to participate in activities, including but not limited to short day hikes, camp cooking classes, nature-based arts and crafts, outdoor skills, as well as interactive guided walks to learn about local natural resources.

As always, this program will be offered for free to participants. Campers will be chaperoned by Ascend Camp Counselors who are trained in Wilderness First Aid, CPR, games, and fun team-building exercises, as well as teenage Junior Counselors who will be gaining work experience and mentoring with Ascend.
